Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a diagnosis to work with you?
No. Many people I work with are exploring whether they may be neurodivergent or have ADHD. You’re welcome whether you have a diagnosis or not.

What happens in a session?
Sessions are a space for you to talk openly at your own pace. You don’t need to have everything figured out. I’ll listen carefully and may gently reflect what I hear.

Will you give me advice or strategies?
My approach is person-centred, so I won’t tell you what to do or try to “fix” you. Instead, I support you in understanding yourself more clearly, so change comes from a place that feels right for you.

Do you offer online and in-person counselling?
Yes. I offer online counselling across the UK and in-person counselling locally in Newport. We can talk about what feels most comfortable for you.

How long are sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes.

How much do sessions cost?
Sessions are £60. I also offer a concessionary rate of £50 (online only) for students and healthcare workers.

What if I feel nervous about starting therapy?
That’s completely okay. Many people feel unsure at first. You don’t need to have the right words — we can take things slowly, at your pace.
