Caroline Hall Counselling — Terms & Conditions
(UK Counselling Services — Online & Telephone Counselling)

Introduction

These Terms & Conditions outline the working agreement between you (the client) and Caroline Hall, trading as Caroline Hall Counselling. By booking a session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

About the Service

• Sessions are 50 minutes unless otherwise agreed.
• Counselling is provided online or by telephone.
• Caroline Hall is a qualified counsellor and registered member of the NCPS.

Fees & Payment

• £60 per session.
• Payment is by bank transfer before each session.
• Receipts available on request.

Cancellations & Missed Sessions

• 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
• Less than 48 hours’ notice or non-attendance is charged in full.
• If Caroline must cancel, a new session will be offered as soon as possible.

Confidentiality

Everything discussed in counselling is confidential except when:
• You are at serious risk of harm to yourself or others
• There is a safeguarding concern
• There is a legal requirement to share information
• Material is shared anonymously in supervision
Where possible, concerns will be discussed with you first.

Professional Conduct & Supervision

• Caroline adheres to the NCPS Code of Ethical Practice.
• Regular clinical supervision is required for all counsellors.
• Material taken to supervision is anonymised.
• Clients are treated with dignity, respect, and without discrimination.

Technology & Online Working

• You are responsible for maintaining privacy at your end.
• A stable internet or phone connection is required.
• If a session drops, Caroline will attempt to reconnect or continue via phone.

Emergencies & Crisis Support

Caroline Hall Counselling does not provide emergency support.
If you are at immediate risk, please contact:
• Your GP
• NHS 111
• Samaritans (116 123)
• Emergency Services (999)

Records & Data Protection

• Brief session notes are kept securely.
• Records are retained for 7 years before secure deletion.
• All data is handled according to UK GDPR.

Ending Counselling

You may end counselling at any time.
A planned ending is beneficial where possible.
Caroline may end counselling if risk, boundaries, or ethical reasons arise.

Complaints

If you have concerns, please raise them directly with Caroline.
